Gannon's participates actively in the Western Australian Racing Industry through our various activities throughout the year. Our main activities are as follows:

The Gannon's Pony Trots at Gloucester Park

The Gannon's Pony Trots is the grass roots of the racing industries next generation, with current and past champions having their start in the Pony Trots.

Based on a non profit sporting club, the pony trots meet every Friday night at Gloucester Park (seasonal). There are various feature races through out the year, including the Gannon's Pony Oaks. A handicapping system applies, with the aim of giving each child the opportunity of winning a race.

What is required is a pony up to 13hh, over 3 years old and that is broken safely to harness. Children must be aged between 6 and 16 years old. Cart and harness is responsibility of participants whilst the club provides safety vests. Other forms of sponsorship, through the clubs partners, is available.

Gannon's have proudly sponsored the club since 2013. The club strongly encourages all participants to have fun, work as a team, develop a good sense of sportsmanship and to learn about the racing industry. Gannon's select and present the 'Junior Achiever Award' each year, all pony trotters are encourage to write an essay about their achievements throughout the season, sportsmanship and their community focus.
