About the club...

The first race meeting was held in Mt Magnet on 4th/ 5th November 1897 on a "stone laden" treeless flat.

There have been some changes in course location and the present facility has been in use since 1971.

The fortunes of this gold mining town have ebbed and flowed but the race club has always survived, thanks to the persistence and dedication of its committees.
